ANJALI DANCE COMPANY GALA PERFORMANCE 7 pm Tuesday March 24 2009 at The Mill Arts Centre, Banbury For the second year running, Anjali Dance Company presents a celebration of dance by people with learning disabilities to showcase work from every area of the Company's activities and to raise funds for the Company's pioneering and internationally renowned work. The show featured performances by: Anjali dance class groups from throughout Oxfordshire for adults, children and young people from Banbury, Bicester, Oxford, Wantage and Witney; Anjali’s ground-breaking Youth Dance Company; and Anjali Dance Company with pieces from their new show Unexploded Stories, all new work imagined, choreographed and performed by the dancers themselves on themes of dreams and desires. Anjali was joined by guests Ric Sanders (Fairport Convention) & Vo Fletcher playing live music for part of the show. The event was completely sold out and raised just over £1,750 to be spent on Anjali's full range of dance activities for people with learning disabilities.
