Young Anjali is open to people with learning disabilities aged between 13 and 24 who want to learn to dance and perform alongside their friends. Anjali works with skilled and dedicated teachers to train young dancers. Being a dancer in Young Anjali could be a starting point for dancers who want to go on to join Anjali’s Main Company.
Young Anjali has performed at many prestigious events and theatres including Birmingham Hippodrome, London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall, Northern Ballet (Leeds), U.Dance National platform run by Youth Dance England, and Unlimited Festival’s Integrated Youth Dance Platform.
The parent of a Young Anjali participant said “The experience that the Anjali youth company has given my daughter is truly amazing. Young adults with learning disabilities have few opportunities for performance and the benefits of being able to do this alongside their mainstream peers should never be underestimated.”
